JUNE FAVORITES

Hullua ajatella, että vuodesta on jo puolet takanapäin. Nyt jo? Mutta pidemmittä puheitta niihin (pariin) suosikkiin.

// It's crazy to think that half of the year is already behind. Already? But without further ado let's jump into (the couple of) favorites.

Hankin huhtikuussa uuden bujon (tietenkin sinisen), kun vanhaan ei mahtunut toukokuun jälkeen yhden yhtäkään kuukautta. Kesäkuun sivut onnistuivat jopa paremmin mitä osasin odottaa, kun päätin kokeilla jopa jotain uutta.

// I bought a new bullet journal (in blue of course) in April because the old one was so full that I couldn't fit one more month to it after May. June's pages turned out to be better than I expected after I decided to try something new.

RMJ oli kyllä ehdottomasti yksi kuukauden kohokohdista, vaikka perjantai ei onnistunutkaan säiden vuoksi ihan suunnitellusti.

// RMJ was definitely one of the highlights of the month even though Friday didn't go as planned due to the weather circumstances.

MAY FAVORITES

Toukokuu on ollut melko kiireinen pääsykokeeseen opiskelun osalta, joten suosikit jäivät tässä kuussa todella vähäiseksi. Toivottavasti kesäkuu olisi hieman rauhallisempi kuin toukokuu.

// May has been pretty busy month because of the upcoming entrance examination so there isn't too many favorites from this month. I hope that June will be more peaceful than May.

Harry Potter -muki, jonka sain lahjaksi. Katselin tällaista mukia alku vuonna Turun reissulla, mutta ei edes haittaa vaikken silloin raaskinutkaan ostaa yhtään sellaista silloin. Suojelius ja ankeuttaja kuvat ovat myös todella hienoja, jotka ilmaantuvat mukin kuumentuessa. Ei voi sanoa muuta kuin että tykkään!

// Harry Potter -mug that I got for a present. I watched these kind of mugs in the beginning of the year on our Turku trip but it doesn't even bother be that I didn't buy any of them then. The patrons and dementor pictures are also pretty nice that appear when the mug is heated. I like it there is nothing more to add!

Sitruunaviipaleet vedessä  ovat helpottaneet veden juontia. Vettä on tullut juotua taas enemmän, kun siihen on saanut edes jotain makua.

// Lemon slices in the water have made drinkin the water a lot more easier. I have drunk a lot more water when there has bee a little flavor into it.

APRIL FAVORITES

Oikein mukavaa maanantaita ja huhtikuun viimeistä päivää!
Niin se aika vain rientää, kun saadaan huomenna aloittaa taas jo uusi kuukausi. Enää kuukausi niin ollaan vihdoinkin kesän puolella (toivottavasti myös säiden osalta!).

// Happy Monday and the last day of April!
Time flies as we can already start a new month tomorrow. One month anymore before we are officially reached summer (hopefully the weather agrees!).

Isommat postit laput ovat olleet aika kovassa käytössä tämän kuukauden aikana erilaisissa tehtävissä. Ne ovat tarpeeksi isoja niin niihin voi tehdä pieniä päivittäisiä to do listoja sekä opiskellessa kirjoittaa joitain pieniä lisäyksiä ja tärkeitä asioita ylös.

// Bigger postit notes have been really handy during this month in different kind of ways. They are big enough so that they can be used on as daily to do lists and while studying you can add side notes to them or write some main points.

Pilotin kumitettavat yliviivaustussit ja kynät ovat opiskellessa olleet myös todella käteviä. Korjausteipin tarve on näiden myötä pudonnut minimiin. Yliviivaustusseissa plussaa on myös ihanat pastelliset sävyt.

// Pilot remove by friction highlighters and pens have also been really handy while studying. The use of correction tape has never been this low before. Also the highlighters get a plus for their beautiful pastel colors.

MARCH FAVORITES

Oikein mukavaa lauantaita ja maaliskuun viimeistä päivää! Se olisi sitten ensimmäinen neljännes vuodesta jo takanapäin (miten?). Toivottavasti teidän maaliskuu oli onnistunut.

// I hope you are having a lovely Saturday and the last day of March. The first quarter of the year is now behind (how?). I hope your March was wonderful.

Maiju Voutilainen Itke minulle taivas. Ei voi muuta sanoa kuin tykkäsin.

Mavala blue mint (181) kynsilakka. Sininen on ehdottomasti mun lempivärini joten, kun törmäsin tähän kaupassa en vain voinut jättää sitä hyllyyn. Niin täydellisen hempeä sininen!

// Mavala blue mint (181) nail polish. Blue is absolutely my favorite color so when I saw this at the store I couldn't leave it to the shelf. It's just the perfect light blue!

Tikashylly, jonka järjestely on tosin vielä aikalailla kesken mutta se etenee pikkuhiljaa.

// Ladder shelf which decorating is still a work in progress but little by little it's coming along.

FEBRUARY FAVORITES

Oikein mukavaa keskiviikkoa! Tammikuuhun verrattuna helmikuu tuntui menevän ihan hujauksessa ohi. Vai olenko ainoa, josta tuntuu tältä? Hieman hitaampi tahti olisi kyllä kelvannut helmikuullekin. Toivottavasti teidän helmikuunne sujui kuitenkin mainiosti.

// I hope you are having a lovely Wednesday! Compared to January I feel like February went by in a minute. Or am I the only one who feels like this? A little slower pace would have been really great for February. Despite that I hope you had a great February.

Miss beauty kynsilakka (suede). Niin ihanan värinen, juuri sellainen kuin olin etsinytkin.

// Miss beauty nail polish (suede). The color is so lovely just what I have been looking for.

Max Factor lash crown vedenkestävä ripsiväri, on ollut käytössä oikeastaan joka kerta tässä kuussa, kun olen saanut aikaiseksi laittaa edes hitusen meikkiä naamaan.

// Max Factor lash crown waterproof mascara, has been the only mascara I have used during the month when I have managed to put on any makeup on my face.

Ruusut jotka ostin itselleni ovat piristäneet kyllä todella paljon. Tarvitsee useamminkin ostaa itselle kukkia.

// The roses that I bought for myself have really lifted up my mood. I need to buy myself flowers more often.

The Body Shopin vanilla chai käsirasva. Mun kädet kuivuvat todella nopeasti talvella joten käsirasvat ovat enemmän kuin tarpeellisia. Pienen tuubin puolesta tätä saa kannettua myös hyvin mukana laukussa. Ja pitihän sen myös olla vaniljan tuoksuinen, saa kädet tuoksua päivän ajan ihanan vaniljaiselta. En valita.

// The Body Shop's vanilla chai hand cream. My hands get really dry during the winter time so hand cream is more than necessary. For its small size it's really easy to carry it around in the purse. And of course it had to be vanilla scented, hands will have a lovely vanilla scent on them for the day. No complaints.

JANUARY FAVORITES

Oikein mukavaa keskiviikkoa ja tammikuun viimeistä päivää. Tuntuu hassulta ajatella, että juurihan vasta vuosi vaihtui ja nyt ollaan jo selätetty vuoden ensimmäinen kuukausi. Mutta kuitenkin, kuu oli kaikin puolin hyvä vaikkakin viikon verran tuli kärsittyä flunssasta.

// I hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday and the last day of January. It feels weird to think that it was just moment ago that the year changed and now we have already gone through the first month. But anyway this month was really good one even though I had an awful flu for a week.

We care icon luomiväri sävyssä True Rose. En omistanut entuudestaan yhtäkään vaaleanpunaista luomiväriä enkä kyllä meinannut löytää mistään sitä "oikean" sävyistä sitten millään. Emotionissa satuin kuitenkin yksi kerta vihdoinkin törmäämään tähän kyseiseen yksilöön ja olin heti myyty.

// We care icon eyeshadow in the color True Rose. I didn't own any pink eyeshadows before and it took me awhile to find "the right" color one. Luckily I managed to run into this one once at Emotion and I was sold from the moment that I saw it.

Lego Harry Potter Collection peli. Harry Potterit ovat yksinkertaisesti vain niin ihania. Vaikkakin tuota pelatessa on tullutkin pari kertaa semmoinen "ei se tapahtunut noin" -fiilis niin kyllä sitä on vain jotenkin niin kiva pelata ja seikkailla Tylypahkassa.

// Lego Harry Potter Collection game. Harry Potter's are simply just amazing. Even though there has been couple of those "it did not happen like that" -moments while playing it it's still been so fun o play and just have an adventure in Hogwarts.

DECEMBER FAVORITES

Oikein mukavaa sunnuntaina, joulukuun ja vuoden viimeistä päivää sinne ruudun toiselle puolelle! Nyt olisi vuorossa vuoden viimeisimpien suosikkien vuoro joten ehkä mennään suoraan asiaan ja jätetään ylimääräinen höpötys välistä. Hyvää uutta vuotta 2018!

Nyxin joulukalenteri. Tämä oli mun ihka ensimmäinen kosmetiikka aiheinen joulukalenterini enkä kyllä pettynyt lainkaan!

// Nyx Lippie Countdown advent calendar.It was my very first cosmetic calendars and it did not disappoint me!

Risteily jolla käytiin kavereitten kanssa viikko ennen joulua oli kyllä yksi kuun kohokohdista.

// The cruise that we went to week before Christmas with friends was one of the highlights of this month.

Victoria's Secret Vanilla Lace hajuvesi. Vanilja on yksinkertaisesti vain yksi mun lempi tuoksuista ja, kun laivalla tähän törmäsin niin ei sitä voinut enää hyllyyn jättää.

// Victoria's Secret Vanilla Lace fragrance mist. Vanilla is just one of my favorite scents so when I saw this on the cruise I just couldn't leave it to the shelf anymore.

NOVEMBER FAVORITES

Huomenna olisi aika toivottaa tervetulleeksi vuoden viimeinen kuukausi (nyt jo), ja se tarkoittaa myös sitä että huomenna saa avata joulukalenterin ensimmäisen luukun!

// Tomorrow it's time to say hello to the last month of the year (already) and that means you can open the first lid of an advent calendar!

Kuun alussa ostettu uusi päiväkirja, joka on erilainen mitä mulla on ennen ollut. Vähän isompi mitä mulla on vähään aikaan ollut sekä ensimmäistä kertaa pehmeät kannet. Se oli vain niin täydellinen vaihtoehto silloin ettei sitä voinut jättää kaupan hyllylle.

// A new diary that I bought at the beginning of this month, which is different from my previous ones. It's a little bit bigger than couple previous ones and for the first time this one has soft covers. It was just so perfect that I couldn't leave it to the shelf at the store.

Kahvi treffit. Ihana seura ja no kahvi (tarvitseeko tätä muka enempää selittää).

// Coffee date. Good company and coffee (do I even have to explain more).

Uusi kalenteri. Mä rakastan sitä, kun uusi kalenteri alkaa olemaan lopuillaan ja saa ostaa uuden. Se on vain niin ihanaa merkitä jo tiedossa olevat tärkeät päivät uuteen puhtaaseen kalenteriin.

// A new calendar. I love it when an old calendar is coming to its end and you get to buy a new one. It's just so fun to mark all the important dates that you know are happening into a new fresh calendar.

OCTOBER FAVORITES

Yö - Hyvän Yön Lauluja

Vaaleanpunaiset pussilakanat, vaikkakaan ne eivät ole kerenneet olemaan käytössä kovinkaan kauan niin ne on vain niin ihanat. Olin pitkään etsinyt vaaleanpunaisia pussilakanoita ja viime viikolla vihdoin löysin ne "täydelliset" niin en voinut olla muuta kuin iloinen.

// Pink duvet covers even though they haven't been used for that long but they're just so lovely. I had been looking for pink duvet covers for a quite long and finally I found the "perfect" ones last week so I couldn't be happier.

Tuoksukynttilät (paistettu omena) ne on vaan niin ihanan tuoksuiset. Noiden tuoksu on sen verran voimakas, että niitä ei edes tarvitse polttaa niin huone tuoksuu jo ihanalta. Vaikka tykkäänkin todella paljon vaniljan tuoksuisista kynttilöistä niin vaihtelu on kivasta, ja kaiken lisäksi nuo sopivat jotenkin tosi hyvin syksyyn ja jouluun.

// Scented candles (baked apple) smell so amazing. The smell on these ones is so wrong that you don't even have to burn them and the room is still smelling amazing. Even though I really like the smell of vanilla on candles switching up the scents is good and these ones really fit to autumn and winter time.

SEPTEMBER FAVORITES

Oikein mukavaa lauantaita ja syyskuun viimeistä päivää. Nyt olisi sitten vuorossa vuoden neljänneksi viimeisen kuukauden suosikkien vuoro.

// Hope you have a lovely Saturday and the last day of September. It's time for the forth last monthly favorites of the year.

Bujon kanssa on saanut toteuttaa itseään eri tavalla kuin tavallisen kalenterin suhteen.

// With bujo I have been more able to do experiments than with a regular calendar.

Ilta ajelu Iitun kanssa. Ihan vain olla, ajella, laulaa, puhua. Extempore reissu Ugiin hakemaan mulle kahvia. Tällaiset on parhaita.

// Night drive with Iitu. Just being, driving, singing, talking. Extempore visit to Ugi to get me a coffee. These are the best.

Puman kengät ovat ihanan mukavat jalassa eikä tarvitse nauhojen kanssa sätätä.

// Puma shoes are so comfortable and you don't have to adjust the shoelaces all the time.

Luomiväri paletti ja korostus paletti. Niiden pigmentit ja sävyt ovat vain niin täydelliset!

// Eyeshadow palette and sculpt & contour kit. The pigment and color of the palettes are just perfect!

JUNE FAVORITES

Kesäkuu vetelee jo viimeisiään vaikkei se niin kauhean kesäiseltä kyllä tuntunutkaan.

// June has already come to an end even though it hasn't felt like summery.

Lakkiaiset, kolme vuotta tuli tehtyä hommia tuon kyseisen päivän saavuttamiseksi ja se oli silmänräpäyksessä ohi.

// Three years of hard work for graduation day and it was over way too quick.

Valkoinen huppari, näin kesän viileämpinä päivinä (eli melkein joka päivä voisi laittaa päälle töiden jälkeen) on ollut aivan ihana.

// White sweater has been really comfy on those colder day (as in almost every single ay so far I have putted it on after work).

Balleriinat ovat aivan parhaat kesäkengät.

// Ballet flats are the best summer shoes.

Juhannus oli rento mutta silti niin onnistunut. Päivän pidempi viikonloppu ei myöskään ollut pahitteeksi.

// Midsummer was really casual but really successful. A day longer weekend was everything but a bad idea.

Grilliruoka on ehdottomasti yksi parhaimmista asioista kesässä! Sitä odottaa kuin kuuta nousevaa, että grillikausi avataan taas pitkän tauon jälkeen ja ensimmäiset grilliruoat ovat aina yhtä ihania.

// Barbecue food is one of the best things about summer! You hold your breath till the start of the barbecue season after a long time and the first time is always perfect.

FEBRUARY FAVORITES

Hei sinne ruudun toiselle puolelle ja mukavia helmikuun viimeisiä hetkiä. Se olisi jo helmikuun suosikkien vuoro.

// Hello again and happy last moments for February. It's already time for February favorites.

Ihan iki oma kahvimuki. Kuulostaa varmaan todella oudolta, mutta olen todella iloinen ihka omasta mukista.

// My very own coffee mug. It may sound really weird but I'm really happy to finally have my own mug to drink my coffee from.

Mantelijuoma, jota kokeilin kahvin sekä myslin kanssa. Kahvin kanssa tykkäsin ainakin todella paljon.

// Almond drink which I tried with coffee and muesli. Really liked how it made coffee taste.

Hiusten värjäys vaaleeksi. Olin jo kauan halunnut vaaleat hiukset ja nyt noin kolmen tunnin parturissa istumisen jälkeen lopputulokseen ei voinut olla muuta kuin tyytyväinen. Tykkään niin paljon näistä vaaleista hiuksista.

// Dying my hair blond. I had wanted a blond hair for a long time and after about three hours of sitting in the barber chair I couldn't be but happy with the result. I really like the new color.

Penkkarit, yksi abivuoden kohokohdista, mitä ei koskaan unohda

// Penkkarit (throwing candy from trucks) one of the highlights of senior year which I won't ever forget.

Wanhat

December favorites

Sitten olisi vuorossa tämän vuoden viimeisten kuukauden suosikkien vuoro.

// It's time for the last monthly favorites for this year.

Yön keikka oli yksi kuun kohokohdista, eikä siihen päivään voi olla muuta kuin tyytyväinen! Oli ainakin sellainen joululahja mistä tykkäsin sitä ei voi kieltää. Seura oli aivan paras sekä tunnelma.

// The Yö concert was one of the high lights of the month and I can't be anything but happy about the day! At least it was a gift that I liked there's no reason to deny it. The company was the best and the atmosphere was amazing.

Joulu, perheen kanssa vietetty yhteinen aika sekä jouluruoka (ihan hyvä vain, että sitä saa vain kerran vuodessa).

// Christmas, time spent with the family and the Christmas food (luckily it's served only once a year).

Sotkuinen "nuttura", jos sitä voi nyt siksi sanoa. Helppo ja nopea tehdä.

// Messy "bun" if you can call it that. It's easy and fast to do.

November favorites

Tähän alkuun voisi vetää sen saman litannian kuin joka kuukausi mutta ehkä jätätn sen tällä kertaa välistä.

// I could write the same thing here as I write in the beginning of all of these monthly favorite post but maybe not this time.

Oma kamera, joka tuli kuun alussa.

Pitkästä aikaa vietetty tyttöjen ilta.

// Girls night after a long time.

Isänpäivä päivällinen, jonka tein pienen avustuksen kera.

// Father's day lunch which I made with a little help.

Olen himoinnut äitin karvatyynyjä siitä lähtien, kun se ne hankkisi. Lopulta äiti teki mulle pehmeestä torkkupeitosta omat tyynyt.

// I've been craving my mum's teddy bear pillows as long as she has had them. Finally she made me two from a soft blanket.

Ihme otukset ja niiden olinpaikat mikä käytiin Iitun kanssa katsomassa maanantaina. En pettynyt!

// Fantastic Beasts And Where to Find Them that Iitu and I went to watch on Monday. Did not disappoint!

October favorites

Kaksi kuukautta tätä vuotta enää jäljellä? Eli se tarkoittaisi sitä, että pian saa kirjoittaa vuoden taas väärin. Mutta ennen sitä kuitenkin vielä 60 päivää aikaa. Mukavaa marraskuun alkua.

// Two months left of this year? So that means soon it's time to write the wrong year again. But before that there is 60 days left. Have a great start for November.

Kalenteri vuodelle 2017. Olin todella kauan etsiskellyt juuri tällaista ja tuntuikin melkein lottovoitolta, kun tämän lopulta löysin. Tässä ainakin pitäisi olla tilaa kirjoittaa asioita ylös. Väri oli pelkkää plussaa vaikka arposinkin tämän ja tumman sinisen välillä,

// Calendar for 2017. I had been looking this kind of calendar really long and it felt like hitting a jackpot when I finally found this one. At least this seems to have enough space for writing things down. The color was a plus even though I had to choose between this and dark blue.

Uusi huone ja sen johdosta enemmän tilaa ja parit uudet huonekalut. Tänne ainakin on kaikki omat tavarat mahtuneet ja tilaa on todella mukavasti. Isoveljeltä jäi myös parit huonekalut joista ei voi valittaa joten sekin on plussaa.

// My new room and the new furnitures that came along with it. At least all of my stuff found their own places in here and there's enough space. My big brother also left couple of his old furnitures here and I can't complain.

Tj 100 -päivä. Päivä yöpuvussa, koulussa. Oli ainakin rento meininki.

// Tj 100 -day. Day at school in pyjamas. At least the atmosphere was relaxed.

Kahvi treffit Iitun kanssa. Saatiin nopeasti kulumaan muutamakin tunti istuen ja jutellen niitä näitä samalla nauttien aivan ihanan makuista kahvia (tosin kahvi on aina hyvää).

// Coffee date with Iitu. We spent hours just sitting and talking this and that at the same time enjoying some delicious coffee (although coffee is always good).

Huulirasvat, koska on taas sen vuodenajan vuoro jolloin huulet ovat koko ajan kuivat. Joten huulirasva on ollut kuin pelastava enkeli. Plussaa tuolle Labellon huulirasvalle on muun muassa sen hyvä tuoksu.

// Lip balms have been more than useful considering that it's that time of the year when lips get dry really easily and often. So the lip balms have been like a savior. The Labello lip balmalso gets plus from the fact that it smells really good.
